Rev. Jacqui Buschor
Pastor Jacqui moved to Columbus from rural Ohio nearly 20 years ago and almost immediately fell in love with the unique rhythms and vibrancy of urban communities like North Linden and the Hilltop, where she lives.
Pastor Jacqui has a passion for cultivating space for mutual relationship to flourish, bringing together people from diverse walks of life to reimagine church, community, and what is possible in the world.
Most Sunday mornings, you'll hear her preaching God's unconditional love, welcome, and acceptance for all people, about God's gift of community and the promise that we are never alone, and how the Spirit of God is continually inviting each of us to help bring God's dream for a more just and loving world into being.
Pastor Jacqui is a two-time graduate of The Ohio State University. She attended seminary and earned her MDiv at the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. In 2020, she was ordained by the ELCA in the most perfect way she could imagine - in the parking lot under the same tents where the church shares food with hundreds of their neighbors each week.
Paul Strawser is a pianist and music teacher who was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. A graduate of Columbus Alternative High School in the Linden area, as well as The Ohio State University, Paul enjoys playing music in a variety of styles, including jazz, rock, and more.
He has been the accompanist at The Church on Oakland Park since 2019.
If you arrive for worship early on a Sunday morning, you may be lucky enough to hear Paul serenading the congregation with a wide variety of music before we begin.
